| The most important equipments, when it comes to tennis are the racquet and the ball. Tennis racquets are of three types, power racquets, tweener racquets and control racquets. Power Racquets are most appropriate for beginners and middle intermediates. Tweener racquets are best matched for intermediate to advanced players. And control racquets are made principally for more advanced players. You can choose whichever racquet as per your level to play tennis. Like racquets, balls to are divided into two categories, namely pressurized tennis balls and pressureless tennis balls. Again, the choice is yours, whichever one you want to play with. Pressurized tennis balls are filled with air or nitrogen and are hollow in the center. They are short lived, only lasting about a month once taken form their sealed can since the pressure of the can is released once the seal is broken. A dead ball is one which has lost its bounce. Pressureless balls have a solid core. They are also great practice balls and are great for ones that don't play tennis very often. Their drawback is the felt that usually wears off in time, causing them to be replaced. | |||
